August Förster Pianos

This Tier 1 piano manufacturer produces high quality instruments with an emphasis on tone and playability.  August Förster handcrafts 120 grands and 150 vertical pianos annually. Each instrument is a labour of love, a tribute to musicians past and present.  The pianos are very well built structurally, and the cabinets are flawless. Rims and pinblocks are of beech, soundboards of Siberian spruce, and bridges are of hardrock maple (without graphite). Each string is individually terminated (single-strung). The actions are made by Renner with Renner hammers. A sostenuto pedal is standard on all grand models.
